GEST 2010: Call for Abstracts Have your Original Work feature at the Original Embolization Meeting! The GEST 2010 Scientific Committee invites you to submit abstracts from original investigations for consideration at GEST 2010 to be held at the Westin Market Street, San Francisco, May 6 to 9, 2010. Abstracts should constitute original research, (clinical studies, basic investigation and animal studies are equally encouraged) in the field of cardiovascular medicine and intervention. The content may include portions of prior abstracts and/or manuscripts submitted or presented elsewhere.

MISSION STATEMENT:The GEST aim is to bring you the highest level of scientific and technical education about the use of new materials and devices, their results, relevance for patient care, imaging, and, of course, to fine tune your existing skills and expertise in these areas. GEST HISTORY:2005: The GEST idea is discussed by the GEST Directors Jafar Golzarian, Ziv J Haskal and Marc Sapoval 2006: Preparations begin for the first GEST meeting 2007: April 25 to 28, Inauguration of the First Annual GEST Meeting in the Barcelona Sants Hotel. Despite planning for a small meeting of 200 attendees, the interest in the meeting is phenomenal, and nearly 700 people register and attend the meeting. 2008: June 5 to 8, moves to larger venue in Barcelona, The Princess Sofia Hotel, and the second edition sees another increase in participation with 850 people registering and attending. 2009: April 15 to 18, GEST Europe is born in collaboration with the CIRSE Foundation and over 1000 people attend the 2009 edition of the event in Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris France. 2010: May 6 to 9, in San Francisco, California, and putting the GLOBAL into GEST, the meeting will move stateside, increasing both the depth of its format with new innovating program modules and also its format.
